About Us

Welcome to EasyPlayer, developed by OdysseyStudio!

EasyPlayer was born out of our pure pursuit of the ultimate audiovisual playback experience. As mobile hardware rapidly evolves, we noticed many users encounter issues like lag, decoding errors, or app crashes when playing high-definition, specialized container formats (such as MKV), or high-bitrate media files.

Therefore, we created EasyPlayer — a modern media player focused on local hardware decoding, clean user experience, and absolute respect for user privacy. Leveraging modern sandbox security architectures, we do not request unnecessary system permissions, returning media playback to its purest and smoothest state.

Welcome to EasyPlayer ("the Application"), developed by OdysseyStudio ("we", "us", or "our").

We value your privacy. EasyPlayer is a local-first media playback tool. This Privacy Policy explains how the Application handles, accesses, and protects your data. We adhere to high privacy standards and NEVER collect your personal identity information (such as your name, email address, or phone number).

1. Zero Privacy Permissions & Local Data Processing

To provide a pure and smooth media playback experience, the Application adopts modern security architectures and does NOT request traditional media library or storage permissions from your device:

  • Storage Access Framework (SAF) & System File Picker: When you open a local file, the Application invokes the Android system's standard secure file picker. All media and subtitle files are opened, cached, and decoded locally within your device sandbox. We never upload your physical videos, photos, or files to any remote server.
  • Internet Access Permission: The Application supports standard web video streaming (e.g., HTTP / M3U8). This feature uses network access solely to fetch and decode the stream URLs you input in real-time. We do not track or collect your browsing history.
  • Local Cache & Preferences (SharedPreferences): To provide features such as playback resume, AB loop points, and virtual local playlists, media file paths, progress, and settings are saved locally on your device. This data is automatically wiped upon uninstalling the Application.

2. Anonymous Technical Data & Analytics Services

To monitor application stability and improve user experience, the Application integrates third-party technical services provided by Google (Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics). These services automatically collect anonymous, non-personally identifiable technical data over encrypted HTTPS connections:

  • Device or Other Identifiers: Anonymous device IDs or advertising IDs used solely to estimate unique active user counts and general geographic distribution (excluding precise GPS locations).
  • App Activity: Interaction records and internal events (e.g., feature button click frequency, app launch/close times) to evaluate feature usage.
  • App Info & Performance: Crash logs and diagnostic data. When an unexpected crash occurs, stack traces are sent to assist developers in debugging and fixing issues quickly.

3. Third-Party Media Sources

When you play public online media streams, third-party hosting platforms may receive technical connection details (such as your IP address) based on their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies, as we cannot access or control data collected by those third parties.

4. Data Security & Non-Sharing Policy

We do not sell, trade, rent, or transfer any data to third parties. All operational cache and preferences remain strictly on your physical device. Uninstalling the Application permanently removes all locally stored data without requiring formal deletion requests.

5. Children's Privacy Protection

The Application is a general-utility media tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).

我們非常重視您的隱私權。本應用程式是一款以本地播放為核心的影音工具。本隱私權政策旨在向您說明本應用程式如何處理、存取與保護您的數據。我們堅守高標準的隱私保護原則，絕不會收集您的任何個人帳戶資料（如姓名、電子郵件、電話號碼等個資）。

1. 零隱私權限與資料處理說明

為了提供純淨、流暢的影音播放與工具體驗，本應用程式採用現代化安全架構，不需要亦不會索取您裝置的傳統本地媒體庫或相簿讀寫權限：

  • 儲存存取架構 (Storage Access Framework, SAF) 與檔案選擇器：當您點擊開啟本地檔案時，本應用程式會調用 Android 系統標準的安全檔案選擇器。所有影音與字幕檔案的開啟、暫存與解碼讀取均在您的手機本地沙盒內完成，我們絕對不會將您的實體影片、照片或檔案上傳至任何遠端伺服器。
  • 網路存取權限 (Internet Access)：本應用程式支援 HTTP / M3U8 等標準網路影音串流播放功能。此功能需要使用網路連線，我們僅透過網路抓取您傳入的影音流進行即時解碼播放，不會透過網路側錄或收集您的個人網頁瀏覽行為。
  • 本地偏好設定與播放歷史 (Local Cache & SharedPreferences)：為了提供「歷史續播」、「AB 段循環記憶」、「自建本地虛擬收藏夾」等優化體驗，本應用程式會在您手機的本地空間中記錄影音實體路徑、播放進度與設定參數。這些資料均以本地格式儲存於您的裝置專屬空間內，卸載應用程式後即會全數自動抹除。

2. 匿名技術數據收集與分析服務

為了監控應用程式的穩定性並優化產品體驗，本應用程式內嵌了由 Google 提供的第三方技術支援服務（Firebase Analytics 與 Firebase Crashlytics）。這些服務會以完全匿名且無法識別特定個人身分的方式，自動收集並傳輸以下技術性數據：

  • 裝置或其他識別碼 (Device or other identifiers)：收集匿名的裝置識別碼或廣告 ID，專用於計算不重複的活躍使用者總數及基本地區分佈（不包含 GPS 精確位置）。
  • 應用程式活動 (App Activity)：收集應用程式互動紀錄與其他內部動作（例如：功能按鈕點擊頻率、應用程式啟動與關閉時間），以便我們評估產品功能的使用情況。
  • 應用程式資訊與效能 (App Info & Performance)：收集當機紀錄（Crash Logs）與診斷數據。當應用程式不幸發生閃退或異常時，此晶片會自動將錯誤代碼與效能表現傳回後台，協助開發人員在第一時間修復錯誤。

3. 第三方影音平台與解碼核心

本應用程式包含標準網路公開影音串流播放服務，並使用開源解碼庫（如 Media-Kit / MPV）。當您播放特定的網路媒體或串流時，該影音數據來源之第三方平台可能會根據其自身的隱私權政策，直接讀取您連線時的技術性資訊（如 IP 位址或基礎網路環境）。我們建議您查閱相關第三方服務的隱私權政策，我們本身並不會、也無法存取該平台所收集的任何數據。

4. 資料安全與不共享原則

我們絕不會出售、交易、租借或轉讓您的任何數據給任何無關的第三方公司或個人。除了上述為了 App 穩定性而由 Google Firebase 進行安全加密傳輸的匿名技術數據外，所有因播放功能所需產生的快取或記憶數據，皆牢牢鎖在您個人的手機裝置中。卸載（刪除）本應用程式時，所有本地數據即會同步物理抹除。

5. 兒童隱私保護

本應用程式屬於通用的影音播放工具，不針對、亦不會主動或故意收集任何未滿 13 歲（或您所在司法管轄區規定的同等年齡）兒童的個人資訊。

6. 隱私權政策的變更

我們可能會不時更新本隱私權政策以符合最新版商店合規規範。任何變更都將在此頁面更新，並調整最上方的「最後更新日期」。
